De Avalon E-Max is uitgevoerd met de Bafang M300 middenmotor. Door het speciaal ontwikkelde bracket is deze motor bijna één met het frame. De motor is erg krachtig en levert een maximaal koppel van wel 80Nm, toch is deze geluidsarm en heeft zeer soepele rijeigenschappen. Het bedienen van de E-Max gaat eenvoudig dankzij een duidelijk LCD display, de bediening zit bij het linker handvat zodat het stuur niet hoeft worden losgelaten.
